The Times They Are A-Changin'

Its January 24, 1984, a much younger looking, more hair, Steve Jobs, in a grey suit and a bow tie. The day which started it all.
Its the long-awaited public unveiling of the Macintosh at Apple’s 1984 annual shareholder’s meeting.
When I read this story at Folklore.org, I can almost imagine the same kind of energy that emanates from Steve Job whenever he goes on stage for his keynote addresses.
bq. He slows down, speaking emphatically. “It is now 1984. It appears that IBM wants it all. Apple is perceived to be the only hope to offer IBM a run for its money. Dealers, after initially welcoming IBM with open arms, now fear an IBM dominated and controlled future and are turning back to Apple as the only force who can ensure their future freedom.”
